Collagraph
A collagraph is made by applying materials such as paper and gesso onto board or by working into board with tools. The surface is sealed, inked up by an intaglio or relief method and put through the press. The results are spontaneous, exciting and often unexpected!

Drypoint Etching
This course introduces a simple and safe intaglio process. The session begins with a brief discussion of drawing methods suited to the process, also drypoint examples by previous students plus contemporary and historical artists. We will provide metal points, inks, printing paper & printing plates (4.25 x 6 and 8.25 x 6 inches). Ideally students should bring image ideas suitable for interpretation as line and cross-hatching that will fit the printing plates, but the tutor will have some reference to choose from on the day.
